About the Department

The department participates in setting the university’s regulations and instructions, reviewing them to ensure their safety and auditing, and proposing amendments to the applicable regulations and instructions to be consistent with the relevant Jordanian legislation system. It also follows up on amendments to the laws and regulations in force at the university and the foundations and decisions issued pursuant to them, and issuing its guide in cooperation with the authorities. Relevant information, and updated on the electronic page on the university’s website.
The department receives the university’s judicial notifications, prepares its own books, follows up on university fee exemption transactions, salary garnishment transactions, and audits name modification transactions in official documents.
The department, in cooperation with the university’s lawyer, undertakes to follow up on cases in which the university is a party, and expresses an opinion on legal, penal, and administrative disputes related to its employees. It also participates in drafting contracts and agreements to which the university is a party, and provides legal consultations to all university units through the university president or his deputies.
The department includes five departments: the Bureau Department, the Legal Consultation Department, the Contracts and Agreements Department, the Investigation Committees and Literary Procedures Department, and finally the Cases and Follow-up Department.


Objectives

The Department provides legal advice to the disciplinary councils at the university and participates in drawing up indictments against the accused, participates in drafting contracts, agreements and undertakings to which the university is a party, and provides legal advice to all university units through Prof. Dr. President of the University, and documents the system of legislation related to the university and relevant Jordanian legislation In addition to following up on the amendments of laws, regulations and instructions in force at the university and the foundations and decisions issued pursuant thereto.

Vision

The Department updates the university’s regulations, laws and instructions on its own page on the university’s website, receives and follows up on the judicial notifications of the university, prepares notification books about them, and assumes its security the secret of investigation committees and primary and appellate disciplinary councils for faculty members, administrative and technical staff, and the Department participates in setting up The university's draft laws, regulations and instructions, and reviewing them to ensure their safety and not in conflict with the legislation in force, collecting and documenting the legal legislations of the university and other relevant legislation.
