The Department provides many legal services, including:

-Participate in the drafting of contracts, agreements and pledges to which the university is a party and approve them before signing them.

-Providing consultations to all university units through the university president and vice presidents. 

-Reply to the books of the Audit Bureau and the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission.

-Providing legal advice to the disciplinary boards at the university and participating in drawing up indictments against the accused.

-The secretariat of the various investigation committees at the university.

-Formation of investigation committees.

-Audit and review decisions of disciplinary sanctions against employees, work to approve them, and return the violator to correct him in accordance with the applicable regulations and instructions.

-Preparing penalties books for employees.

-Follow up the preparation of suspension books for the worker referred to the disciplinary council, the public prosecutor or the competent court, and follow up on these cases from the date of referral until the final judgment is issued.

-Preparing letters allowing the employee to return to his work if he is referred by the public prosecutor to the competent court for committing any misdemeanor or felony not prejudicial to honor and the issuance of a final judgment.

-Studying objections and grievances to disciplinary decisions.

-Expressing a legal opinion on issues related to work.

-Reply to the clarifications received from the regulatory bodies.

-Keeping investigation files in investigative cases related to workers.

-Follow up on issues related to the university and issues against the university and prepare the necessary correspondences and correspondences for these issues, including documents and papers.

-Receiving the university’s judicial notifications and preparing notification letters after directing the university president regarding them and following up on what is related to them.

-Expressing opinion on human rights and criminal disputes related to university employees.
